Nick McLaughlin joined Bernkopf Goodman’s litigation department in 2020.
During law school, Nick served as Editor-in-Chief of The Suffolk Journal of Trial and Appellate Advocacy and as a teaching assistant for a Legal Practice Skills course. Nick served as a judicial intern at both the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and the Suffolk County Superior Court. Nick also worked as a law clerk at Bernkopf Goodman prior to becoming an associate at the firm. Prior to law school, Nick began his legal career as a paralegal for a family law and criminal defense firm.
Described by his colleagues as diligent and hard-working, Nick has a reputation for being a critical thinker who remains calm under pressure—a reputation he developed on the basketball court as both a player and a former college coach. A gifted researcher, writer, and advocate, Nick is respected by his co-workers and clients for his responsiveness and willingness to dive deep into complex issues. Nick has experience working on real estate and development litigation, bad faith litigation, other types of complex business litigation, and a variety of transactional matters.
